OmniFocus is zeker geen app voor iedereen, maar wel voor de professional met behoefte aan taakmanagement, die al dan niet onderweg zijn taken wil kunnen managen en projecten wil visualiseren. Met OmniFocus kun je to-do lijsten maken of ideeen noteren om deze vervolgens te organiseren en uit te werken in projecten, taken en contexts. Deze laatste laat alleen die taken zien die je op dat moment kunt doen. Dus wanneer je onderweg bent, kun je makkelijk even dat ene telefoontje plegen, ben je op kantoor dan zie je de opdrachten die je op kantoor kunt doen en ben je thuis dan kan deze app alleen de huiselijke taken laten zien als nog even het gras maaien, de planten water geven etc.
Alle taken kun je lokaal op je iPad beheren, maar ook synchroniseren met je Mac of desktop en Mobile Me etc. Wie OmniFocus al gebruikt op zijn computer of iPhone heeft helemaal baat bij de iPad versie en kan direct alles uit zijn iPad halen. De app is wel prijzig, maar voor wie de app nodig heeft en in een behoefte voorziet een schijntje €31,99.
