Epic kondigt het prachtige Project Sword aan + Gratis tech demo!

Tijdens Apple’s speciale evenement vandaag was er ook even een korte presentatie van Epic, je kent ze misschien wel, het bedrijf achter de Unreal Engine, een game engine waar al zeer veel PC en Console games mee gemaakt zijn, zoals bijvoorbeeld de Gears of War serie op de Xbox360. De tech demo die zij lieten zien was van de Unreal Engine 3 voor iOS apparaten.

Deze engine zal door Epic zelf gebruikt gaan worden voor de game die vooralnsog alleen bekend staat als ‘Project Sword’, uiteraard zal Epic de engine ook op licentie basis uitbrengen zodat andere ontwikkelaars ook games kunnen gaan maken met deze engine. Dat dit goed nieuws is voor alle iOS gamers is een feit, de demo zag er echt werkelijk uit om van te kwijlen. Zoals de screenshots laten zien, maar verspil je tijd niet aan de screenshots, Epic heeft namelijkd e Tech demo, genaamd Epic Citadel vrij gegeven in de app store om zelf mee te spelen, helemaal gratis… Enjoy!
